Plastic

Plastic outdoor furniture is easy to care for and doesn't need much maintenance to last and look good for several seasons. But, just like outdoor furniture in other materials, it will look and feel even better if it is cleaned regularly, and especially when it is taken out for the season.

Clean with a damp cloth and Brafab's plastic cleaner or a mild detergent (e.g. washing-up liquid). Avoid using a high-pressure cleaner or a brush that is too hard, as this will damage the surface of the plastic fibres.

In some cases, plastic furniture can become infested with mould and this can be prevented by treating it with car wax once a year after it has been cleaned and dried properly.

Also bear in mind that prolonged and strong sunlight can fade the plastic and even the fabric of cushions (if the furniture has them), which can be avoided by covering with a furniture cover or standing under a roof.

Also, never place hot objects directly on the material, always use coasters for glass and glass objects as they can get hot in strong sunlight and cause the surface to melt.
