Aluminum
Brafab has outdoor furniture in powder-coated aluminum and in sand-cast aluminum, and they are cleaned in the same way, i.e., with a mixture of mild detergent (e.g., soap) and water. Outdoor furniture made of aluminum is durable and stable but requires regular maintenance to last for many years and should be cleaned regularly.
Powder-coated aluminum: Clean regularly with a mixture of mild detergent (e.g., soap) and water. If damage occurs, you can fix it by sanding the surface clean with fine sandpaper and painting with touch-up paint. Brafab offers touch-up paint as a spare part in their assortment.
NOTE! On outdoor furniture in powder-coated aluminum from Brafab, there are drainage holes in the legs and frames, so they should not be stored upside down as water can accumulate, potentially leading to frost damage if it remains inside instead of draining out.
Sand-cast aluminum: Clean regularly with a mixture of mild detergent (e.g., soap) and water. If discoloration occurs, you can try washing with denatured alcohol. If that's not enough, try using a coarser sponge or finally steel wool if the discoloration persists stubbornly. NOTE! Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
At the beginning of a new season, it's advisable to check all screws and tighten them as needed.
